The work, Tactile, by Kimho Ip will be played by Ziggurat in a concert during the Gaudemaus Week on the 8th of September 2006 (FRI) 12.30. This will take place in the Bimhuis, part of the famous Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ in Amsterdam.

Concert Details
About 20 young musicians perform first time on stage, with an ensemble of mixed Chinese and western instruments.
The ensemble, led by the composer and director Kimho Ip , will perform three Chinese compositions,together with guest musicians from Edinburgh Chinese Opera and the rock band trio, the Electric Avenue .
The IMA Youth Orchestra is funded by the Local Initiative Fund of the City Council of Edinburgh, and is the first youth orchestra in Scotland comprises of both Chinese and western musical instruments. |

RSAMD Junior dept. Also music from China, Afghanistan, Armenia and Iran featuring breathtaking Indian dancers, Priya Srikumar , Merav Israel and Indira Kemp with Dutch Saxophonist, Filip Davidse .

Concert Details
Following their highly successful debut performance last November, vocalist Lucy Kendra and Chinese Dulcimer musician/composer Kim Ho Ip to present an intimate and genre- crossing collection of songs as part of the Edinburgh Jazz Centre’s Spring programme (Saturday April 15th 2006 at 7.30pm, The Lot, 4-6 Grassmarket).
They are joined by Amsterdam based Filip Davidse (Soprano/Alto Sax), David Patrick (Piano/Keys) and Alistair MacDonald (live electronics) to create a contemporary chamber music setting for their innovative repertoire. Kendra fronts the quintet to perform songs inspired by and re- interpreted through their combined musical heritage; from Western folk and pop to ancient Chinese poetic forms; from 1930s Shanghai music hall to contemporary vocal- led jazz. |
